Churches Collaborate To Serve Urban School
Two are better than one.
That’s exactly what two churches put to action in their partnership with Lindbergh Elementary School in the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. Victory Hills of the Nazarene and Cross Points Church are collaborating on various projects at Lindbergh with the question in mind: “How can we help?”
Some collaborative projects from the 2014-15 school year are winter clothing donations, facility improvements, mentors, and a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast and Luncheon in the month of May. Breakfast was served on a Monday for all teachers and staff, something that just doesn’t happen very often at Lindbergh. That same week, both churches joined forces and catered a very special BBQ lunch buffet. Beautiful floral center pieces at each table, desserts and thank you cards from the church communities written to every teacher by name were just some of the highlights of that day.
