New Chelsea Elementary’s Cultural Night was a great success, with more than 400 in attendance. Bands performed outside and cultural music played indoors as families enjoyed a free taco bar, raffles and visiting the many vendor and food booths. Principal Canise Salinas was overjoyed by the event:
“From the front door to the back, from the library to the gym, the food pantry, the selfie corner, vendors, food booths, music and more… this was a HUGE success!” she said.
“I want to THANK everyone for their participation in making this night one for the memory books,” she added. “Our families enjoyed watching their children have fun as well as having fun themselves and feeling proud to showcase their delicious food, crafts, jewelry and more! The smiles on everyone’s faces was endless!”
Principal Salinas also noted the positive feedback from attendees:
“I’ve never been to anything like this; this was wonderful.”
“I want to participate next year!”
“This is want a community of culture looks like. Everyone should be proud knowing that this is how you bring a neighborhood together!”
“Kudos to you all….simply Amazing!” thanked Principal Salinas.
