As schools changed plans regarding graduation this year, KC metro high schools looked for innovative ways to recognize and celebrate their graduating seniors. Ruskin High School administrators along with CFK community partners provided 306 graduating high school seniors with a gift card during a special ceremony for College Recognition Day.
In the Center School District, community partners from Center High School and Center Alternative School assisted school staff in the delivery of congratulatory signs to all seniors of both schools. “They didn’t really have to do this. They could’ve just planned something else. But knowing that they did this … It means a lot,” said one senior. “All my hard work paid off and I can do amazing things now.”
“Center is all about family,” said Principal Edward Tate. “We love them, we care about them and that’s what family is all about.”
